Amory – Lola Mae White, 67, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at her residence. Born on January 16, 1948, in Tupelo, she was a daughter of Clara Mae Umfress Franks and the late Jessie Cleveland Franks.
Mrs. Lola White graduated from Itawamba Agriculture high school and married the love of her life Bobby White on August 7, 1967. For 40 years with her love by her side Lola owned and helped operate Bob’s repair shop in Amory. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Her favorite hobbies included cat fishing and bingo. She was especially excited about her Pugs always entering them in competition. She was a member of the Olive Branch Kennel Club, and Pearce Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Clara Mae Perry; daughters, Glenda Gray (Dickie), Plantersville, and Rhonda White, Azusa, CA; son, Gary White; Russellville, AR; sister, Faye Franks, Mantachie; brothers, Kenneth Perry (Pamela), Dorsey and Leonard Perry (Mary), Dorsey; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Dorothy Jernigan, Paul Upton, and Steve Morris.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby White; brother, Ellis Ray Franks; and sister, Linda Francis Duncan.
Her Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, July 18, 2015, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Bro. Van Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Fellowship Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Morris, Richard Gray, Paul Upton, Richard McBunch, Shane Burrough, and Richard and Thomas White.
Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM, Friday at the funeral home.
