, TX – Lois Nairmore Colburn, 90, died on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at The Belmont at Twin Creeks, Allen, TX. Born on April 17, 1921, in Fayette, AL, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Wheeler and Ruth Lee Lindsey Nairmore.Mrs. Colburn attended Fulton schools. With her husband, Luther Dean Colburn, they owned and operated Colburn’s Laundromat and Produce Market. A very giving and faithful lady, Mrs. Colburn was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. Living a Christ-like life, her family and her church were her priorities. Loving people, Mrs. Colburn enjoyed family gatherings, cooking for church functions where she was known as the “Dumpling Queen,” reading her Bible, cooking, quilting, and listening to Gospel music.She is survived by her daughter, Linda C. Nash (Jim), Plano, TX; grandchildren, Darrell Colburn, Amory, Chris Colburn, Saltillo, Jennifer Cambre, Dallas, TX, and Kimberly Johnson, Midland, TX; 9 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Wayne Colburn, and a brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Evelyn Nairmore.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, July 25, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Mac Phillips and Bro. H. V. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.Visitation will be from 12:30 – 1:50 PM, Monday, July 25 at E. E.
