Fulton – Lois Cleo Wright, 93, passed away at The Meadows Nursing Center in Fulton on February 28, 2022, and she began her new life in Heaven. She was born on August 25, 1928, in Itawamba County, MS, to the late George Albert and Alice LaVeda “Veda” Bishop Wright.
Lois grew up in Itawamba County. She married Carvel Lee Ausborn at the age of 15 and they had one child, Dolores Yvonne Ausborn. She and her husband and child lived in Florida for 2 years. She was a loving mother who helped her family. She received her GED at age 32.
She loved the Lord and was a member of the Beans Ferry Church of Christ where she enjoyed attending and singing. She was involved with missions and enjoyed fellowship with her church family. Lois enjoyed visiting with the staff at the Sheriffs department and she always checked on her friends in need. She liked to bake, quilt, and sew as well as listen to gospel music.
She had many good, special friends.
Left behind to treasure her memories is her daughter, Dolores Yvonne Davis, Sturgis; great-grandchildren, Dalton Reed Davis and Dillon Davis and a great-great-grandchild, Colt Walker Davis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandchild, Anthony Lynn Davis; her brother and his wife, Milton and Dorothy Wright.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, March 4, 2022, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Steve Shappley officiating. Burial will follow at New Chapel Cemetery in Itawamba County, MS.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home.
