Lindsay Nicole Carter, 31, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born in Amory on October 24, 1987 to Deborah Ausborn Carter and the late Truman L. Carter II.
Lindsay attended Tupelo schools. She was a member of Carnation Baptist Church. A fun-loving, sweet young lady, she always had a positive outlook on life. Lindsay was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease which she battled with everything she had. Through it all, she was a fighter, and never backed down from overcoming adversity. She ultimately won the battle as she got to meet her Savior face to face and she was reunited with her father and sister.
Lindsay loved her three year old daughter, Sadie, who was the light of her life. Sadie’s smile could melt Lindsay’s heart and she felt so blessed that God gave her this precious daughter. Her love for her daughter and her relationship with her mother carried her through tough times. She was passionate about praying to God with her mother by her side. She was a good daughter, fun sister, a loving mother, a precious grandchild, and a loyal friend. Lindsay will be forever remembered for her compassionate heart and the happy memories she gave her friends and family.
Lindsay is survived by her devoted mother, Debbie Carter, Amory; daughter, Sadie Long; Matt Long; brother, Jason Parham, his wife, Kellie, and their children Brayden, Zachary, Tyler, Kyle, of Charlotte, NC; brother, Nathan Parham, Amory; brother, Truman Carter III, his children, Amanda, T.J., Maggie, Breanna, of Youngstown, OH; Chris Herring, his wife Michelle, and their children, Lexi, Dylan, Jenna, Abigail, and Jaxon; and her grandparents, Brother Truman Carter (Linda), Amory; grandmother, Jean Ausborn, Amory.
She was preceded in death by her loving father, Truman L. Carter II; sister, Amanda Parham; and grandfather, James “Junior” Ausborn.
A funeral service will be held at 3PM on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, with Bro. James Gillentine officiating. Burial will be in Haughton Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Parham, Truman Carter, and Nathan Parham.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday night, May 10, from 5-7PM.
