Linda R. Huskey

Amory –Linda Ritter Huskey, 72, died on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. Born on November 8, 1942, in Amory, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Syble Holloway Ritter.

Mrs. Huskey was a graduate of Amory High School, Class of 1961 and furthered her education at Itawamba Community College. She married the late Floyd Douglas Huskey on July 13, 1963. She was employed with the Mississippi Department of Human Services for 30 years. Mrs. Huskey was a lifelong member of the Amory Church of Christ. She loved to take trips and go to various concerts and spending time with friends and family. Her favorite artists were Conway Twitty and George Jones. Her hobbies were reading and working word search puzzles. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Green, (Germantown, TN), her sons Michael Huskey (Killdeer, North Dakota) and Steven Huskey (Pearlington, MS); sister, Judy Ritter McKinney (Amory) and her beloved grandchildren; Tyler, Rayanne, Emerie and Rosalie Huskey, Dori and Callon Green; nephews David McCollum, Dan, Bob and John McKinney and Craig Huskey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband Floyd Douglas Huskey and son-in-law Thomas Kenan Green.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, July 19 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Mr. Phillip Hathcock, officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Tyler Huskey, David McCollum, Dan, Bob and John McKinney and Craig Huskey.

Visitation will be from 5 – 8PM, Sunday at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory
