Linda Hall Howard
Fulton – Linda Howard, 68, was reunited with her daughter and began her new life in Heaven on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. She was born on May 5, 1955, in Aberdeen, MS, to the late Jasper Newton Hall and Alice Elizabeth Moton Hall.
Linda grew up in a huge family with eleven siblings in Monroe County. She attended Greenwood Springs schools. Linda went to work at an early age and worked over 20 years as a Boxer at Amory Garment. But her most important job was being a homemaker and wife. She was blessed by God with three daughters and a loving husband, Palmer “Junior” Howard. They were married one day after Valentines on February 15, 1985 and they shared many wonderful years together.
She loved the Lord and believed in His saving Grace. He was her best friend whom she leaned on in hard times. Through the years she attended several churches but Bethel Apostolic Church in Amory, MS was the one close to her heart. She considered the Brothers and fellow church members as her family and loved listening to Gospel music.
To know Linda, you knew that she was feisty, determined, and loved her family dearly. She was a great cook and could make the best fried chicken and tomato gravy. Her kids and grandkids were spoiled and she also considered her little dog “Angel Mo” as one of her children.
In her downtime, she enjoyed escaping the cares of the day by immersing herself into the drama of t.v. soap operas. She was passionate about supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Besides her husband, one of her close friends was Billie Barnett. Linda also liked to work word search puzzles during quiet times.
A loving mom and wife, she always made sure that her family knew that she loved them, always saying “I Love You” before hanging up the telephone. Her family has peace and know where she is as just a couple days before she passed, she said “I’m ready to go home”.
Left behind to cherish her memories is her husband, Palmer “Junior” Howard, Fulton; daughters, Amy Adams (Lamar Standifer), Ellie Blaylock (Jerry), and Debbie Doughty (L.C.) ; grandchildren, Sommer Blaylock, Brook Dodds, Jacob Adams, Alyssa Adams, Haley Adams, Brittany Taylor, Corie Doughty, Nikki Doughty, Anthony Blaylock, Kayla Blaylock and Jerepaul Clemons; a host of great-grandchildren; brothers, James Hall (Eudell) and Cleve Hall (Dorothy).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Ann “Mo” Blaylock; sisters, Reba Colburn and Asline Hall; brothers, Wayne Hall, Fred Hall, Charles Hall, Howard Hall, Coy Lee Hall, Cloves Hall, John Alan Hall.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:30 pm, on Monday, August 28, 2023, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, MS with Bro. Coy Hill officiating.
