Aberdeen— Linda Chism Gosa, 57, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 at the UAB University Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Born on December 30, 1960 in Waukegan, IL, she was a daughter of Bill and Loraine Chism.
Linda graduated Amory High School with the Class of 1979. She met the love of her life, Bobby Gosa, soon after, and they married on April 19, 1980. Together they were blessed with two children. Linda and Bobby raised a beautiful family and enjoyed every moment together. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren, and especially enjoyed taking them to water parks.
Linda spent much of her time with her beloved family. She was a strong woman who fought through many years of illness but always remained a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. Although she has passed on to her new life in heaven, her family takes comfort in knowing that they will meet again one day.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Bobby Gosa, Aberdeen; daughter, Tanya Lynn Gosa Perez (Cain), Hamilton; son, Jayson W. Gosa, Aberdeen; mother, Loraine Chism, Amory; sister, Sheila Harris (Norm), Smithville; brother, Ken Chism, Amory; grandchildren, Tomas X. Escorcia Gosa, Damian B. Escorcia Gosa, Maria Escorcia Gosa, Juan Perez, Miguel Perez; niece, Alisha Marie Houk, nephew, Brian Berryman and host of additional nieces and nephews; sister in laws, Betty K. Sandlin, Janice Stanford, both of Aberdeen, and special friends, Stacy Nolen and Ms Vickie.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Chism; and brother and sister in law, Jimmy and Sherry Butler.
A memorial service will be held at 12PM on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel, Amory with Bro. Danny Burks officiating.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 11:50 AM on Thursday at the funeral prior to her service.
