Amory-Linda J. Beason, 63, died peacefully at her home on July 12, 2012. Born September 16, 1948 she was a daughter of James and Imogene Coleman Reese. She lived and worked in Aurora, IL in her younger years and was employed by Western Electric. She later moved back to Mississippi, received her nurse’s license, and worked for North Mississippi Medical Center for 18 years until becoming disabled. She enjoyed working in her yard with flowers and enjoyed spending time at her home in Gulf Shores, AL. She enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales, junk stores in and around Gulf Shores and Pensacola.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Masonic Cemetery in Amory with Bro. Ray Carroll officiating. E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers will be Bennie Wright, Ben Wright, Justin Wright, Steve Fowlkes, Darrell Harp, Jr., and Barry Wax. Honorary pallbearers will be Herbert Page, Jim Boozer, and Bobby Cox.
Survivors include her husband, Greg Beason of Amory; a special cousin, Glenn Coleman, a daughter, a son, 5 grandchildren, one brother, and 3 sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A special recognition would like to be given to her caregivers over the years: April Smith, Susan Parish, Holly Swan, Brandi Torre, Sharlet Torre, Laurie Westbrook, and Molly Bell Moore.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
