Wren – Lewis Stafford, 77, died on Sunday, October 28, 2012, at Darlington Oaks Community Hospice, in Verona. Born on September 9, 1935, in Ittabena, he was a son of the late Paul J. and Connie Redd Stafford.
Mr. Stafford attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Okolona. He retired from American Motor Company, in Kenosha, WI, after 30 years of service. Mr. Stafford, a very humble man, was a hard worker, with a very strong work ethic. He enjoyed listening to country music, watching westerns, especially the Lone Ranger, and tinkering with his stuff.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, October 30, at Haughton Memorial Park, with Bro. Jerry Aldridge officiating. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 PM for the service.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 56 years, Helen Smith Stafford, Wren,; daughters, Debra Johannsen (Jeffery), Grayslake, IL, and Diane Aldridge (Tim) of New Albany; son, Michael Stafford (Jacqueline) of Waukegan, IL; sisters, Margaret Sanders (Harold) of Becker, and Faye Jordan (Bobby) of Amory; grandchildren, Isabella Stafford, Leyton Johannsen, Alexzandra Stafford, and Katelyn Aldridge, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Paul Stafford.
