– Lenoel Evans, 75, died on Friday, December 30, 2011, at Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks, Verona. Born on March 8, 1936, in Hamilton, she was a daughter of the late Bryant and Vivian Collins Winders.Mrs. Evans was a graduate of Hamilton High School. For 26 years, she worked as a housekeeper at Amory Manor before becoming a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith. Outgoing and fun-loving, Mrs. Evans cherished watching her grandchildren grow up and spending time with her family. A hardworking lady, she kept and immaculate yard and a very clean home. Living life to the fullest, Mrs. Evans enjoyed crocheting, listening to Country and Gospel music, and enjoyed dancing her feet off. A shop-a-holic, she enjoyed going places, especially going to yard sales. As a NASCAR fan, she always cheered for Mark Martin and Dale Earnhardt. Mrs. Evans was proud to have been a 7-year ovarian cancer survivor. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Kuykendall (Glenn), Tupelo; sons, David Lee Evans (Brenda) and James Allen Evans (Phyllis), of Hamilton; sister, Linda John Cox, Smithville; brother, William Eugene Winders, Hamilton; grandchildren, Heather and Blade Kuykendall of Tupelo, Zachary Evans, Hamilton, and Clint Evans, Amory; step-grandchildren, Jeremy Hester, Hamilton and Ginger McAlister, Amory, and Corey Kuykendall, Private, US Army; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Rabbit Kennedy, Jewel Thompson and Sandra Garner.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. D. Evans.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, January 1 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Kendrick officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Zack and Clint Evans, Blade Kuykendall, Lynn Crump, Roland Minga, and Terry Gardner. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Andrew Kellum and Staff; the Staff at River Place in Amory; and the Staff at Darlington Oaks.
