Wren – Lenard Albert Holloway, 68, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015, at NMMC, Tupelo. Born on January 1, 1947, in Amory, he was a son of the late Lenard Frank and Annie Mae Smith Holloway.
Albert attended Becker School. Retiring in 2007, he drove for Parham Trucking for several years. Albert was Baptist and was a member of the US Army National Guard in Amory. Determined and strong-willed, he had a great love for life and an endless love for his family, especially his grandchildren. Albert enjoyed fishing, working outside, riding his great-grandchildren on the lawnmower, and listening to Country music.
Survivors include his daughter and sons, Tina Hodges, Scott Holloway (Kim), and Jay Holloway (Erin), all of Wren; sisters, Fran Brewer (Jimmy), Greenwood Springs, and Dorothy Moffett (Eddie), Athens; brother, A. L. Holloway, Greenwood Springs; grandchildren, Trey West, Alisha Singley (Matt), Cody Holloway, Alyssa Holloway, and Ashley Holloway; great-grandchildren, Weston Singley and Kasyn Holloway; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Holloway, and a daughter, Teresa Holloway.
His Graveside Service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, August 26, 2015, in Friendship Cemetery, Aberdeen, with Bro. Robert E. Fowlkes officiating. Pallbearers will be Trey West, Cody Holloway, Matt Singley, Barry Smitherman, Danny Adams, and Richard Adams.
Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30 AM, Wednesday, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory. We will leave in procession from the funeral home at 10:30 AM.
