Lee Morgan Tennison

Becker – Lee Morgan Tennison, Ph.D, 62, died on Friday, May 25, 2012, at her residence. Born on July 1, 1949 in Spokane, WA, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Basil Barnes and Helen Mae Frey.

Lee was an electronics engineer who spent her career working for the US Navy designing antennas, ship topsides, and surveillance and communications systems. Immediately prior to retiring in 2006, she worked at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City, FL, designing the Multi-Vehicle Communication Systems that permitted the LCS (Littoral Combat Ship) ships to control multiple unmanned vehicles.

Lee and her beloved husband, Roger Tennison, moved to Becker in 2007, after building their dream log home on the Tenn-Tom Waterway. Lee and Roger loved Mississippi, having made many dear friends, desiring to spend their remaining years in Mississippi together. Roger died the day before their anniversary in 2010. Lee’s hobbies were quilting, needlework, and reading.

A Memorial service will be held on May 28 at 3 PM, at the Tennison Residence on Sink Rd, with Bro. P. J. Mortensen officiating.

She is survived by her sister, Judy Adams; her nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and by many wonderful friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Lee Tennison, and her sister, Patricia Hulsey.
