Tupelo, Miss.—Laurel Joyce Bistel Borcicky, 68, died on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Tupelo. Born July 29, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Carl E. and Iva Ruth Paris Bistel. A woman of faith, she was a member of the North Boulevard Christian Church. Never meeting a stranger, she gave to all freely and will be remembered for her smile and a warm hug. Before her retirement, she worked as a dental assistant, was secretary at Woody’s TV, and a homemaker. Her hobbies include cooking, cake decorating, watching and raising birds, and knitting. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be 10 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 at the North Boulevard Christian Church in Amory with Bro. Ferman Anderson officiating. E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Robert D. Borcicky, Sr. of Tupelo; 3 sons, Robert Borcicky, Jr. (Barbara) of Tupelo, Bill Borcicky (Sue) of Amory, and Larry Borcicky of Booneville; one daughter, Audrey Beck of Geneva, OH; 7 grandchildren, Emily Borcicky, Melissa Borcicky, Adam Borcicky, David Cameron, William Beck, Jacob Beck, and Michelle Stewart (Joe); two great grandchildren, Patricia Stewart and Sarah Stewart; one brother, Carl Bistel of Phoeniz, AZ; and one sister, Sharon Bistel of Trinidad, CO.
She was preceded in death by one brother, David Bistel; and her parents.
