Bubba Walden
Amory, Miss.—Larry Dale “Bubba” Walden, 61, died on Friday, January 24, 2014 in Amory. Born March 30, 1952in Waukegan, IL, he was a son of Lawrence and Joy Bell Coker Walden. He was a graduate of Smithville High School and he married Melissa Medling. Graduating from lab technology school in Nashville, he worked for over 30 years as a lab technologist for Internal Medicine at Gilmore Memorial Hospital. He was an avid Ole Miss Athletics supporter especially football and he enjoyed dove hunting and playing dominoes. A family man, he cherished the time spent with his family and he was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Amory.
A celebration of life service will be 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Rev. Jimmy Criddle officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa Walden of Amory; his parents, Lawrence and Joy Bell Walden of Smithville; two daughters, Mandy Walden Gregg (Sam) of Livingston, AL and Molly Walden of Amory; two sisters, Janet Morgan (Craig) of Jackson, MS and Pat Bourgeois (Boozy) of Ponchatoula, LA; one brother, Jerry Walden (Mary) of Amory; two grandchildren, Zoey Duenaz and Britt Gregg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two infant sons; and by grandparents, Irene and Howard Coker and Clayton and Margaritte Walden.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Danny Moore, Dr. Roger Ratliff, Dr. Bill Rogers, and the Country Boys Breakfast Club.

Visitation will continue until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
