Amory – Larry Wayne Oliver, 30, died in Ashtabula, Ohio on July 13, 2011. A native of Amory he was born on January 12, 1981 to Charles Morgan Oliver and the late Patricia K. Brown Oliver.
Larry Wayne had lived in Amory for many years and was a truck driver employed by North Mississippi Development Group in Oxford. He was a member of River Bend Baptist Church. He loved to play with his children, especially chess and enjoyed playing his guitar.
He is survived by his father, Charles Morgan Oliver (Lillie Sue) of Hamilton; his wife, Alana Taylor Oliver of West Point; his sons, Patrick Wayne Oliver, Matthew Jackson Oliver and Taylor Rea Oliver all of West Point and Joseph Blake Luker of Aberdeen; his brothers, Joe Franklin Oliver of Hamilton, Charles Eric Oliver of Amory; his sisters, Lessie Kay Burgin of Holly Springs, Patricia Susanne Carlisle of Wren, and Elizabeth Sue Parish of Aberdeen. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Eugene Oliver.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:30 pm, Sunday, July 17, 2011 with Bro. Roy McHenry officiating. Burial will follow at Center Hill Cemetery in Hamilton. Pallbearers will be Shawn Robertson, Brian Reeves, Gregory Alan Taylor, Chris Carlisle, Blake Carlisle, Adam Brown, Cecil Hughes and Jeffery Brown.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 16th at the funeral home from 5-8 pm and will continue Sunday until time for the service to begin.
