Larry Johnson

Tupelo - Larry Grey Johnson, 77, passed away on April 28, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.

Mr. Johnson was born June 14, 1945. He devoted his life to service as a Supply Sergeant in the United States Army. This work took Mr. Johnson all across the globe, traveling extensively and spending many years in Germany. After 25 years of faithful service, he retired and began to appreciate a slower pace of life.

Mr. Johnson enjoyed quiet evenings at home, developing a great love for cooking. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Ann Winter Johnson.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his daughter, Kathy Ramsey and her husband, Bart of Tupelo, MS; his son, Gary Herburger of Pensacola, FL; three grandchildren, Julia Crosby and her husband, Brandon of Niceville, FL, Tyler Herburger and his wife, Patricia of Jackson, TN, and Matthew Betts and his wife, Dawn of Sarasota, FL; as well as nine great-grandchildren.

His graveside funeral service, with Military Honors, will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11:00 am at Haughton Memorial Park, Amory, MS.
