– Kerri Diane Edge, 25, died on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at her residence. Born on September 24, 1986, in Smithville, she was a daughter of Donald and Dessie Maxey Edge.Kerri was a graduate of Smithville High School, Class of 2006. Working as a babysitter, she kept her niece and nephew, Khloe and Kaleb. A member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church, Kerri sang in the choir, volunteered for Operation Christmas Child and Vacation Bible School, and participated in all the Christmas plays. A sweet and loving, precious angel, she loved her family, enjoyed being with her friends, shopping, and listening to Gospel music as she walked. When Kerri was asked for something, her favorite saying was, “It got blowed away by the tornado.”A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 PM, Friday at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. H. V. Brown and Bro. Donald Edge officiating. Burial will follow in Young Memorial Garden. Pallbearers will be Ray McCollum, Phillip Tucker, Ron Maxey, Chase and Alex Tubbs, Josh Elam, and Van Dabbs. She is survived by her parents of Smithville; sister, Kelli Edge Steadman (Matthew), Smithville; brothers, Kevin Edge (Angie), Senatobia and Ken Edge, Aberdeen; and nieces and nephews, Jordan, Allie, Annslie, Kaleb, and Khloe Steadman; Knollie “KK, ” Katch, and King Edge; great-nephew, Braden Steadman; and special aunt, Linda Maxey King; special cousin, Alyssa Jo Towery; and a special little sister, Stacey Hinton, all of Smithville.She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarence Ruble and Vera lee Goodwin Maxey; Orlando “Pete” Edge; and Ethel Short Elam.Memorials may be given to Operation Christmas Child, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607 or LeBonheur Children’s Hospital, PO Box 41817, Memphis, TN 38174.Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at eepicklefuneralhome.com.
