Nettleton, Miss.—Kenneth Johnson, 57, died on February 14, 2013 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born December 13, 1955 in Amory, he was a son of the late Jessie Void and Ilena Marie Waddle Johnson.

A graduate of Nettleton High School, he also served as a medic in the National Guard. A man of faith, he was a devoted member of the Limestone Baptist Church in Nettleton. Kenneth was the owner and a carpenter for Kustom Cabinets in Maryville, TN, and was currently employed at North Mississippi Medical Center in facility operations. Passionate about bluegrass music, he was a member of the Kneedeep Bluegrass Band. Enjoying playing music, Kenneth spent time with his family, his grandchildren, hunting, and fishing.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:30 PM, Sunday, February 17 at the Limestone Baptist Church in Nettleton with Bro. Cory Hall and Bro. Randy Gray officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery in Itawamba County. E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Waldrip Dodson Johnson of Nettleton; two daughters, Alanna Y. Teeple (Keith) of Tupelo and Amanda M. Magers (Thomas, II) of Tiplersville; one stepdaughter, Heather D. Wood (Robert) of Saltillo; one step-son, Will F. Dodson (Heather) of Pontotoc; one sister, Sandra J. Ritter (Buddy) of Nettleton; 4 brothers, Gerald Johnson (Linda) of Nettleton, Glen Johnson (Debbie) of Holly Pond, AL, Gary Johnson (Debra) of Hatley, and Michael Johnson (Cheryl) of Wren; one brother-in-law, Frank Jones (Sherry) of Nettleton; 5 grandchildren, Cade and Dalton Teeple, Thomas Aaron, Aryana, and Titus Magers; 5 step grandchildren, Tucker, Emma, and Georgia Wood, Emily and Ferrell Dodson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David Johnson, and one sister, Wanda Jones.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Magers, II, Keith Teeple, Will Dodson, Robert Wood, Buddy Ritter, and Frank Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald, Glen, Gary, and Michael Johnson and George Allen.

Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. and will continue until service time on Sunday at the Limestone Baptist Church.
