Amory - Kelly Dean Ivy, 79, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Gilmore Memorial RMC, Amory. Born on November 23, 1935, in Tishomingo County, he was the son of the late Grover and Onilee Wigginton Ivy.

He attended Belmont High School. Mr. Ivy married Peggy Dozier. For 31 years, he worked as a supervisor at True Temper. He loved the Lord and was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and served as the music minister. Mr. Ivy was a former music minister at Meadowood Baptist Church and Bigbee Baptist Church. His favorite hobbies included watching football and basketball. He was passionate about Parkinson’s disease.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy D. Ivy, Amory; sons, Jerry Ivy, Columbus and Ronald Ivy, Tampa, FL; sisters, Jean Wigginton (Travis) and Patsy Pounders (Cline) of Belmont; Sandra Stringfellow (Lee), Wetumpka, AL, and Sue Cochran (Richard), Travelers Rest, SC; brother, Glen Ivy (Janet), Paducah, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Friday at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be held a 2 PM, Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Old Bethel Cemetery, Belmont.
