Keith B. Kennedy

Amory – Keith B. Kennedy, 51, died on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at his residence. Born on June 9, 1961, in Amory, he was a son of the late Malley Buckhannon “Buck” and Ruth Elvis Manasco Kennedy.

Keith was a graduate of North State Academy, Hickory, NC. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Appalachian State University. Keith began working at a local drug store in Hickory before managing the operations of Hickory Furniture. After moving to Amory, he worked with his parents at Value Craft and later owned and operated Amory Fabric Store. Currently working in real estate, Keith owned several rental homes. A member of First Baptist Church, he was in the Sunday School class taught by Travis Murray. Loving, generous, and having a big heart, Keith enjoyed helping others, traveling, caring for animals, and serving on jury duty. He was a supporter of Amory Humane Society.

He is survived by his aunts, Shirley Parchman, Ina Phillips (Bobby) and Purney Lee (Arlis) of Amory.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, March 2 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Dr. Allen Simpson and Bro. Jimmy McFatter officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Oliver Stanley, Todd Stanley, William “Red” Reeves, Stephen Reeves, John Creekmore, Joe McGonagill, and Travis Murray.

Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Friday at the funeral home.
