Amory-Jural Thompson Pearson, 89, died at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit on July 14, 2016.
A lifetime resident of Monroe County, she lived in Hatley most of her life. She was a Homemaker, and enjoyed cooking for her family. Mrs. Pearson was a floor lady at Red Cap Industries in Hatley before becoming a beautician. She owned and operated Hatley Beauty Shop before retiring in 1996. Mrs. Pearson was a member of Hatley Primitive Baptist Church. She married W.C. Pearson in 1945, and they had twin sons. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her two sons, Boyd Pearson and Loyd Pearson (Charlotte) of Hatley; two brothers, Dennis Thompson (Betty) of Wren and David Thompson of Amory; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Millican of Hatley and Mrs. Sally Camp of Amory; three grandchildren, Alison Pearson Rouse (Alan) of Southaven; Jennifer Pearson Kessler (Frank) of Saltillo; Jodi Pearson McCrimon (Dan) of Fulton; four great-grandchildren, Carson and Addison Kessler, Ben and Juliana McCrimon.
Mrs. Pearson was preceded in death by her parents, Hosie Austin Thompson and Ellie Woodruff Thompson; two brothers, Basil Thompson and Hosie Austin Thompson, Jr.; four sisters, Mrs. Lillian Shields, Mrs. Jesse Fooshee, Mrs. Jesse Nash Neal and Mrs. Mary Alice Weaver.
Her Funeral Service will be at 2:30 PM, Sunday, July 17 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Elder Tim Cunningham and Bro. Gary Self officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park in Amory. Pallbearers will be Jay Fooshee, Anthony Pearson, Chase Pearson, Jeff Pearson, Dennis Thompson, Jr., and David Pickle.
Visitation will be from 12:00 until the service hour at 2:30 PM on Sunday.
