Amory – June Hildreth Gatta, 68, died on Sunday, December 9, 2012, at Kingman, AZ, Regional Medical Center. Born on August 29, 1944, in Columbus, she was a daughter of the late Albert Eugene Hildreth, Sr., and Ellen Elizabeth Hickey Hildreth.
June was a graduate of Columbus High School, Community College and Paralegal school. For nearly 20 years, she worked in aircraft maintenance with Lockheed in Palmdale, CA; having top-secret clearance, one of the airplanes she worked on was the F117A Stealth fighter. June was also a certified paralegal. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Amory, where she was the librarian and custodian. June was a member of the Elks, Moose Lodge, American Legion, and SMART RV Club. Loving to travel, she had been to all 50 states, Canada, and Mexico. She cherished spending time with her family and her dogs, Gretchen and Bridgett. Very competitive at games, she enjoyed playing Triominos and Ladders. Loving, giving, positive, and always on the go, June enjoyed whitewater rafting, crafts, riding her Polaris side-by-side in the desert, and listening to Elvis.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherrie Adamson (Alan), Hillsboro, MO, Fawn Jackson (John Mazza), Colorado Springs, CO, and Andrea Mayberry (Tom), Santa Clarita, CA; son, Keith Harrison (Lisa), Phoenix, AZ; sister, Mary Wentz (Joe), Panama City, FL; brother, Albert E. “Pee Wee” Hildreth, Jr., Clarksville, TN; grandchildren, Ryan Adamson (Cathy), Crystal Andrews (Devin), Erica and Brittany Jackson, and Julia and Tommy Mayberry; great-grandchildren, Betty Siroki, Kelsie Lynn Adamson, and Kaylynn Harper Andrews; nephews, Colby and Casey Hildreth and Terry Wentz; great-niece and nephew, Annalynn and Wyatt Hildreth; and special friend, Bob Rush.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Adelaido T. Gatta; brothers, Jerry and Tommy Hildreth; and nephew, Ty Wentz.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, December 21 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Dr. Allen Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Colby Hildreth, Casey Hildreth, Ray Rush, and Tom Mayberry.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.
