Hamilton – Julie Ann Spruill, 51, died on Sunday, September 21, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus, MS. Born on August 16, 1963, in Amory, she was the daughter of the late Billy Jack Duncan and Brenda E. Raden Rasberry.
Julie attended Hamilton High School and then worked as a matcher in Aberdeen at Sharp’s Garments for six years. Julie married her husband Thomas Spruill from Hamilton. She was a member of the Prairie Baptist Church and her family was the most important thing to her in life. She enjoyed reading Amish books, playing computer games, and watching soap operas on the television. Julie’s enjoyed country, gospel and rock and roll music.
In addition to her her husband, her survivors include her sons, Cory Duncan (Elizabeth) of Smithville, Michael Spruill of Hamilton; daughters, Jennifer Poe (Matthew), of Mantachie, Ashley Walden (Tod) of Hamilton; brothers, Michael Earl Raden (Sheila) of Hamilton, Randy Duncan of Hamilton, Frankie Joe Rasberry (Sherry) of Hamilton; grandchildren, Bathan, Brendan, Madisyn, and Savanah; and two nephews, Michael and Jesse.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 24 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating. Burial will follow in Quincy Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shannon Diggs, Tod Walden, Matthew Poe, Joe Tipton, Ricky Hunneycutt, and Bobby Sanderson.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM – 1:50 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
