Aberdeen- Julie Kay Pope, 46, died Friday, May 3, 2013 at her residence. Born December 18, 1966 in Waukegan, Illinois, she was a daughter of Betty Gann Brewer and the late Donald Lee Booton.
Julie graduated from Hatley High School with Honors in 1983. She was of the Baptist faith. Julie loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed listening to music on radio, and had a knack for winning prizes, surprising her family with gifts, and taking care of her cat.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Brewer of Wren; sister, Teresa Phelps (Roger), Wren; brother, Anthony Booton (Rita), Aberdeen; nieces and nephews, Christy Norton, Tasha, Tabitha, and T.J. Booton; great nieces and nephews, Tara Booton, Talea Hogan, Ava Norton, Tatum Booton, Cora and Ian Carter.
In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her nephew, Daniel Norton.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM, Monday, May 6 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Fowlkes officiating. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Allred, Roger Phelps, Toby Rhinehart, Ronnie Jones, Donald Jones, and T.J. Booton.
Visitation will be from 5 PM-8 PM, Sunday at the funeral home.
