Becker—Judy Faye Welch, 69, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones at her residence. Born in Amory, MS on September 19, 1950, she was a daughter of William Ernest and Lonie Bell Camp Howard.
Judy attended Hatley schools. She worked with Amory Garment/Block, as a clerk at service stations, and as a cashier at Dirt Cheap in Amory. She was of the Baptist faith. Judy was a family-oriented woman who loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader and a collecter of Fenton art glass. She also enjoyed cooking and playing games on Facebook. Judy was very laidback, but protective of her family. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her, but the memories will live on forever.
Judy is survived by her sons, Chris Welch, of Becker, Kevin Welch (Constance), Greenwood Springs; grandchildren, Jarrett, Coby, Katie, Kylie, Cameron, and Keigan Welch; sister, Carolyn Lockhart, Amory; nieces and nephews, Dwight Lockhart (Cindy), Bryan James, Kim Tallent (William), Tina Welch, Tammie Clark (Jim), Brandi Humber Langford; and great-nephews, Will, Tyler, Hunter, Justin, and Drew (Cat).
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 1PM on Monday, January 27, 2020 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, with Bro. Justin Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Hatley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dwight Lockhart, William Tallent, Chris Welch, Drew Holcomb, Jarrett Welch, and Colby Welch.
Visitation will be on Monday from 11AM until the service hour.
