Amory – Judy Westbrook Sullivan, 72, died on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at her residence. Born on December 28, 1939, in Hatley, she was a daughter of the late Linus Boyd and Ruth Sugg Westbrook.
Judy was a graduate of Amory High School, Class of 1958. Before retiring, she was a contracting officer at Columbus Air Force Base. Judy was a member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ. Passionate about researching family genealogy, she was a member of Monroe County Historical Society and also was a member of Aberdeen Junior Auxiliary and Junior Women’s League. Judy enjoyed antiquing, decorating, canoeing and white water rafting, tennis, and watching old movies.
She is survived by her husband, James William “Jimmy” Sullivan, Amory; daughters, Melinda Tucker Tazelaar (Tom), Alexandria, VA; Terri Lynn Tucker and Jennie Sullivan Luker (Ray), of Amory; sons, John David Tucker (Kathy), Tupelo, and Andrew James Sullivan, Birmingham, AL; sisters, Jane Westbrook Sandoval, Richmond, TX, and Deborah Westbrook Kozella (Larry), Amory; grandchildren, Christi Trull Dubois (Jeremy), Cameron Scott Trull (Elaina), and Catherine Nicole Trull of West Point; James Michael Sundstrom, Dakota Allen Sundstrom, and Madelin Rae Luker of Amory; Andrew Lee Sullivan, Birmingham, AL, Andrew Ryan Stubblefield, Dallas, TX, and Heather Tazelaar Brown (Nathan), Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren, Camden Payne and Divi Dubois of West Point; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Carol Tucker.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, October 20 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Mr. Philip Hathcock and Mr. Marshall Eubanks, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Sundstrom, Dakota Sundstrom, Cameron Trull, Daniel Hester, Andy Hood, and Andrew Stubblefield. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Sullivan and Tim West.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Friday at the funeral home.
