Amory – Judy Kay Bridges Marshall, 70, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017, in Tupelo, MS. Born on February 23, 1947, in Hatley, MS, she was a daughter of the late Joe D. and Edna Mae Otts Bridges.
Judy attended Hatley High School. Later in life, she obtained her G.E.D. and attended Itawamba Community College. During her career, she worked for many years at Amory Garment Co. where she made many friends. In her free time, she loved listening to all types of music, but her favorite was Elvis Presley. An avid reader, Judy loved to read mystery novels, as well as history texts and biographies. One of her other favorite hobbies was fishing for crappie and bream. She enjoyed spending afternoons fishing and painting.
Judy’s granddaughter, Bridget, brought her the most enjoyment in life. She had a very sweet spirit and loved her family. Judy will leave behind many happy memories and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include daughter, Carron Annessia Jones Bland, Amory; granddaughter, Bridget Annessia Timms, Amory; sisters, Joan Westbrook, Lauderdale; Jean Patterson (Shelby), Flowood; Nell Flippo (Bobby), Amory; brothers, Bob Bridges (Florene), McComb, Richard Bridges (Ann), Amory; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Johnny D. Jones, and Roger Marshall Sr.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 AM on Friday, July 14 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Mike Steele officiating. Inurnment will be in Haughton Memorial Park, Amory.
Visitation will be at 10 - 10:45 AM, Friday at the funeral home.
