Amory – Juanita Keller, 88, died on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Gilmore Memorial RMC, Amory. Born on July 20, 1925, in Nettleton, she was a daughter of the late James K. and Betty Clayton Chaney.
Mrs. Keller attended Lee County Schools. She married David Keller on February 20, 1946. Working as a seamstress, Mrs. Keller retired from Amory Garment. Guided by her faith in Jesus Christ, she was a nursery volunteer at Hatley Missionary Baptist, Meadowood Baptist, and First Baptist Churches. A loving and caring lady who never met a stranger, Mrs. Keller saw the best in everyone. She enjoyed spending time with her family, Gospel music, antiquing, gardening, fishing, and traveling with friends.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, David H. Keller, Amory; sons, Mike Keller, Amory and Jimmy Keller (Mary Jane), Starkville; grandchildren, Lorinda Buckley, Danny Comer, Tammy K. Bright, Daphne McKibben, and Erica Swindle; 12 great- grandchildren; 7 great-great- grandchildren; and 6 nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Keller; grandson, James Harold Keller; great-grandson, Larry McKibben; 2 sisters and 6 brothers.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, July 18 in Haughton Memorial Park with Bro. Mike Tucker officiating. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Buckley, Kain Elinburg, Christopher Buckley, Robert Bright, Stephen McKibben, Justin Keller, Phillip McKibben, and Travis Stewart.
Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:20 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or a charity of choice.
