Joseph Michael "Mike" Keller

Amory – Joseph Michael “Mike” Keller, 34, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015. Born on July 5, 1981, in Amory, he was a son of Tammy Plunkett and Mackie Lee Keller.

Mike attended school at Hatley and went to work at a young age. He was an active young man who loved the outdoors. Mike was the father to one son, Joseph, with whom he loved to spend precious time. He worked in the roofing business and aspired to someday own his own roofing company. He loved to watch Alabama football, go fishing, attending bonfires, and camping. He especially liked to fish for catfish. His family and friends were the most important things to him in his life, and he will be greatly missed by his loved ones.

Survivors include his son, Joseph Michael “Jo Jo” Keller, Jr.; father, Mackie Lee Keller; mother, Tammy Plunkett Morris and step-father, James Morris; sisters, Annette Underwood (Bo), Ecru, Connie Parker (William), Pontotoc, Kay Clayton (Glenn), Mantachie, Mitzi Morris, Ecru, Crystal Morris, Baldwyn, Tasha LaShae Keller (Craig Thomas), New Albany; brothers, Mackie “Bo” Keller, Jr. (Michelle), Hopkinsville, William Keller (Kelly), Smithville, Darrell Morris (April), Carolina Community; a host of nieces and nephews; special friends, Harley and Danyel Murray; Rosie Gillespie (Charlie); Heather Hindman; and Jeremy and Angela Keller.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Shelby Jean Pickle and William Thomas Plunkett; Rosie and Sevester Keller; Reba and Pruitt Morris; and cousin, Christopher Lee Keller.

His Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, October 16, 2015, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Bro. Coy Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Hatley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Keller, Bo Underwood, Charlie Gillespie, Eugene Keller, Mackie Keller, Jr., and Stevie Bell. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua and David Keller.

Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Thursday, at the funeral home.
