Jonathan Case Furland

Amory – Jonathan Case “Jon” Furland, 23, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014, in Hamilton. Born on April 15, 1991, in San Diego, CA, he was a son of Jennifer J. Murphy and Gerald K. Furland.

Jon graduated from Lincoln Junior Senior High School in Rhode Island. He was a painter at Nautic Star Boats. He was a member of Greenbrier United Methodist Church, Becker. One who was bold, courageous, generous, had a big heart and a great sense of humor with the gift of making others laugh, Jon was a good friend and a protector of children. Having the ability to do anything with his hands, he loved working on cars, playing the guitar and drawing.

Survivors include his mother, Jennifer Murphy, Providence, RI; father, Gerald Furland, Chattanooga; grandparents, Arthur J. and Carolyn J. Smith, Amory; children, Charlotte and Wyatt Furland, Rhode Island; and brothers, Andrew J and Jacob A. Furland, Rhode Island.

A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM, Sunday, December 14 at Greenbrier United Methodist Church in Becker with Bro. Sammy Washburn officiating.
