Tupelo - Johnny Andrew Frederick, Sr., 57, died Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born March 24, 1955, he was the son of Alvis Arney and Etta Mae Young Frederick.
He married Ruby Jean Westmoreland on August 4, 1979. Known as “High Pockets,” he was a 1974 graduate of Hatley High School. Johnny worked as a truck driver for Tango Transport and K & K Trucking. A member of the Church of God of Prophecy, he was also a Mason and a Shriner, and a member of the FFA. He enjoyed NASCAR, any kind of sport, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 PM, Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Ricky Pratt officiating. Burial will be in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Danuel Gates, Patrick Mullins, B.J. Morris, Kevin Morris, Joshua Webb, and Allen Webb.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Jean Frederick, Tupelo; daughters, Rebecca Lynn Webb, Aberdeen and Barbara Lynn Westmoreland (Danuel), Tupelo; sons, Johnny Andrew Frederick, Jr., (Regina), Wren and James Anthony Frederick, Tupelo; sisters, Sue Buse (Robert), Mantachie, Becky Frederick, Mantachie, Darnell Morris (Reggy), Becker, and Sandra Young, Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Johnny Andrew Frederick, III, Noah Alexander Frederick, Joshua Webb, Allen Webb, Annastasha Webb, Kimberly Webb, Aliyania Nieto, and Gabrielle Nieto; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Edward Roberts and Eunice McAllister.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-and -father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carl C. Westmoreland.
Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
