Amory – Johnny Clay Easter, 58, died on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at his residence. Born on January 18, 1955, in Sulligent, AL, he was a son of the late Charlie and Annie Kate Thompson Easter.
Johnny attended Greenwood Springs and Hatley schools. Before becoming disabled, he worked as a mechanic. He was Baptist. Having a big heart, Johnny enjoyed watching television, fishing, and Country music.
Survivors include his sisters, Faye Merchant, Sulligent, Pauline Kell (Jimmy) Sulligent, Bernice Wouldridge, Smithville, and Patricia Dean (Phillip), Amory; brothers, Louis Easter (Ann), Amory, Charles Easter (Doris), Sulligent, Clayton Easter, Aberdeen, David Easter, Greenwood Springs, Thomas Easter, Amory, Carlos Easter (Mary), Sulligent, and Neal Easter, Amory; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bertha Mae Easter; brother, Bobby Easter; and brothers-in-law, Tommy Wouldridge and Bobby Merchant.
A private family service will be held at a later date in Durrett Cemetery.
