Jimmy R. Frederick
Aberdeen – Jimmy R. Frederick, 86, met his Savior face to face on Sunday, January 22, 2023. He was born on May 6, 1936, in Amory, MS.
Jimmy grew up in Monroe County and graduated from Hatley High School with the class of 1954. Jimmy retired from Walker Manufacturing in 1999. He was blessed by God with a daughter, Patricia, and a loving wife, Joyce Roberts Frederick, whom he married on May 2, 1964.
He was a faithful member of Hamilton Church of Christ and he loved the Lord. Jimmy will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Roberts Frederick, Aberdeen; daughter, Patricia Frederick (Marvin Cooper), Aberdeen; grandchildren, Chad Hill and Jason Law; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Alex Hill; and Zoie Law; great-great-grandchildren, Izabella Hill, Blakely Hill and Samuel Hill; several aunts; and a host of cousins and friends; special friends, Eddie Comer, Truman Lockridge, Billy McLemore, and Jerry Umfress.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin Frederick and Ophelia Frederick; brother, Gene Frederick.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at 2:00 pm at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, MS with Minister Evan Bowlin officiating. Burial will follow in OddFellow’s Rest Cemetery, Aberdenn, MS with pallbearers being Edwin Fritch, Tommy Fritch, Gary Fritch, Marvin Cooper, Keith Vaughn, and Reed Howard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Truman Lockridge, Billy McLemore, and Jerry Umfress.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home in Amory, MS.
