Amory- Jimmy Lynn “Shane” Foster, 59, died Monday, January 13, 2014 at his residence. Born April 7, 1954 in Laurel, Delaware, he was a son of Ervin Howl and Helen Hawkins Foster. A graduate of Hatley High School, he was of the Pentecostal faith and before becoming disabled he worked at People Lounger Furniture. A very determined man, he could often be found doing yard work or trying to help people even though he was confined to his motorized chair. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, fishing, collecting cards, watching wrestling and football, and visiting with friends and family.
He is survived by his daughters, Candi Foster (Darrell Barnes), Cason, Kelly Keller (William); sisters, Crissy Harmon (Andy), MD, Louise Head (Bobby), Aberdeen, Patricia Stanford (Kenny), Nettleton, Dorothy Cummings (Earnie), Amory, Carolyn Foster, Shannon; brothers, Paul Foster (Shirley), Aberdeen, Bobby Foster, Aberdeen, Steve Foster (Nancy), Amory, James Foster, Amory; grandchildren, Precious Foster, Cameron Foster, Angel Howell, Corey Keller, David Keller and Logan Keller; special friend, Max Brasfield and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Sissy Foster; grandparents, Lilly Foster, Jesse Foster; niece, Elizabeth Foster; nephew, Robert Head.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1pm at Bethel Apostolic Church with Bro. Stanley Blaylock, Bro. Billy Foster and Bro. Max Brasfield officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Dwaine, Charles and Walter Foster, Timothy Parish, Pervy Williams, Tony Head, Daniel Renfro and Bobby Head.
Mr. Foster will lie in state at the church on Wednesday from 12pm until service time.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 5-8pm.
