She was active in her home community in the Wren Library Club, she enjoyed working out with her friends at Curves in Amory, spent many hours working in her yard and garden, and her suitcase was packed for travel at any opportunity. Active at Central Grove Baptist Church, she enjoyed the activities with the senior JOY group, was a Sunday school teacher for many years and pitched for the church softball team well past the age of 60. She also enjoyed being an active member of Tranquil Methodist Church senior group, the Tranqilizers. She was a great sports fan and loved her Mississippi State Bulldogs.
