Jerri Pierce

Jerri Pierce, a beloved daughter of the late J. Angelo Lowrimore and Olivia Pearl McHenry was born in Amory, Mississippi, on October 14, 1948. While residing at the Magnolia Manor in Tupelo, Mississippi, she became healed and left for her heavenly home on March 2, 2025. A graduate of Amory High School, Jerri epitomized the spirit of her hometown, imbued with an independent and strong-willed nature that defined her character and endeared her to many.

Throughout her life, Jerri cherished the role of caregiver, dedicating her heart and soul to family and friends alike. Her zest for life shone brightly through her hobbies, whether it was the delicate art of cross-stitching or lovingly tending to her cherished "Zinnia Garden." She found joy in going to auctions, a pastime that often culminated in treasure hunts worthy of storytelling.

Jerri's life can be beautifully encapsulated by her unconditional love for her family. She was blessed with 3 children, Gene Pierce (Susan), Laura Pierce, and Jay Pierce. She treasured moments with her grandchildren, Katy Buskirk, Jaynee Margaret Nerren, Shelby Cary, Emily Balducci, Cameron Pierce, and Ava Pierce, as well as her many great-grandchildren. Each child held a special place in her heart, their accomplishments are a reflection of her legacy.

A lifelong member of Amory First Baptist Church, Jerri's faith was a guiding force throughout her life. She nurtured many friendships that enriched her journey, forming cherished bonds with kindred spirits such as Linda Gail Harlow, Brenda Hyatt, and Elizabeth Sullivan. These relationships were marked by laughter, shared stories, and mutual support.

Jerri's proudest accomplishments were deeply personal, manifesting in her ability to create beautiful baby quilts and the divine confection of divinity candy. These homemade treasures were not merely items crafted by her hand, but symbols of her love and the lasting memories she wove into each stitch and sweet.

In her passing, Jerri joins those she loved who have departed before her, including her beloved husband, Larry Pierce, and her devoted parents, J. Angelo Lowrimore and Olivia Pearl McHenry. She is also reunited with her sisters, Janice Easter, Jean McClanahan, and Patricia Lowrimore, who together provide her with eternal companionship.
