Jennifer Dawn Bennett
Aberdeen – Jennifer Dawn Bennett, 48, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at her residence in Aberdeen, MS. Born on May 24, 1972, in Andalusia, AL, she was the daughter of the late Julia Johnston Jenkins and Bobby Jenkins.
Jennifer attended Amory High School. She went to work at a young age and was employed at Johnson Foam Manufacturing in Shannon, MS. She worked hard to help provide for her children. During her lifetime, she was blessed with two children, a son and daughter. Her family was the most important thing to her and her children’s wellbeing guided her every steps. Jennifer was outgoing, loving, spunky and a little sassy. She had no filter to her opinions and if something came to her mind, she would speak her peace.
She attended Victory Baptist Church in Nettleton and she believed in God. She loved spending time with her family and hanging out with her friends. One of her close friends was Mr. Gary Keith, with whom she would eat with on Saturday mornings, solving all of life’s problems together. She liked to listen to Country and some 90’s hip hop music. Another close friend was Dano Jones, who she would socialize with often. In her free time, she liked to worked in the yard and grow beautiful flowers. Above all, her family meant the most to her, and she was especially proud of her son and his accomplishments in life.
Jennifer’s presence will be missed dearly by her family and friends. They know that she is no longer suffering and they will reflect on all the great memories through the years.
She is survived by her son , James Allen Bennett (Laken York), Aberdeen, MS; daughter, Desiree Bennett, Aberdeen; grandchild, Bobby Jayce Bennett, Aberdeen; uncles, Ashley Johnston and Eddie Johnston; cousin, Victoria Johnston.
In addition to her parents, Jennifer was preceded in death by her brother, Allen Garrett; uncle, Lonzie Phelps; grandparents, Carson and Thelma Phelps.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 2:00 pm at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 12:30 PM until the service hour at the funeral home in Amory, MS.
