Quincy- Jeffrey Allen Boyd Parker, 41, died August 7, 2013. Born August 27, 1971, he was a son of J.W. Boyd and the late Martha Faye Plunkett Boyd.
A gentle and free spirit, Fred lived his life to the fullest and was always found being with his family and friends. Kind hearted and compassionate, he would always help anyone in need. He enjoyed playing his guitar, watching Nascar, was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and just hanging out with his buddies. He attended Hatley School, was of the Baptist faith and worked in construction.
He is survived by his father, J.W. Boyd, Quincy; sisters, Jena Leigh Pickle (Timmy), Hatley, Tina Hulett, Tupelo and Crystalyn “Sissy” Leech (Jon), Smithville; brother, Joey Boyd, Quincy; special aunt, Eddielene Parker, Amory; nieces and nephews, Tanya Burks, Jennifer Elam Hendi, Ashley Markham Carter, Kerry Sintikakis, Stefanie Hulett, Steven Hulett, Robert Hulett, Danielle Hill, Tiffanie Nantz, Tori Cook and Hunter Leech.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Toni Kaye Boyd and Debbie Boyd Markham.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4pm, Friday, August 16, 2013 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Burks and Mr. Chris Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Durrett Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris “Hook” Hawkins, Chris Crenshaw, Phil Mann, Dayton Farrar, Toby Hawkins, Richie Rich and Josh Gray. Honorary pallbearers will be Andy Farrar and Niel Roberts.
Visitation will be from 5-8pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
