Born on August 25, 1960, at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, he was a son of Charles Westerhout, Costa Mesa, CA, and Dorothy Jean Cooley Akers, Oxford.Jeffrey attended Phil Campbell, AL, High School and graduated from Well Control School. He worked as an independent consultant in the oil and gas rig services, primarily working with Marcellus Shale in Montrose, PA; a work-a-holic, he was a very dedicated consultant. Very loving and full of life, Jeffrey placed his faith in God. He cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren. Full of laughter, Jeffrey enjoyed being on the lake, fishing, and listening to Old Gospel hymns, Country music, and the Beach Boys.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:30 PM, Sunday, January 8 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Miles and Bro. Tommy Whaley officiating. Pallbearers will be Timothy Hawkins, Jerry Spears, Joel Outlaw, James Ballard, Matthew Welch, and Jay Parham. Honorary pallbearers will be David Craft, Michael Smith, Joe Murray, Larry Trimble, Al Owing, Michael Smith, Tom Weller, Drew Gladulich, Walt Davenport, Jerry Spears, Timothy Hawkins, Jay Parham, David Craft, and Larry Marrill. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Saturday at the funeral home.In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughters, Amanda Leigh Ball (Shawn), Amory, Alexis Michelle Akers, Wetumpka, AL, and Katie Marie Goins (Justin), Harriman, TN; step-children, Pamela Lynn Ingram, Water Valley and Earl Stevens, Oxford; grandchildren, Tyler and Brittany Ball; Abby and Lee Ingram; and Zoey Goins; and special friend, Candace Hunt, Water Valley. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Henrey and Ollie May Thompson Cooley.Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at eepicklefuneralhome.com.
