Jeffery Allen Holiday, Jr., 23, passed away unexpectedly in a car accident on Monday, September 12, 2016 in Monroe County, MS. He was the son of Tonya and Jeremy Armstrong, and Jeffery Allen Holiday, Sr.
Jeffery graduated from Northwest Rankin High school, class of 2009. While in High School, he was a member of the JROTC. He attended Crossbound Church. He was employed at McDonald’s in Fulton, Mississippi.
One would describe Jeffery as a jokester, one who loved to sing and play his guitar, strong willed and loved to aggravate family and friends but yet a big hearted individual. He was a very artistic and creative young man who loved all types of music. Often times, he was mis-understood as an individual however, he was always in God’s arms. Jeffery was an anchor to his mother and truly a gift from God. He loved his family, especially his brothers, who always looked up to him. He cherished his dog that was with him always until the end.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a fiancé: Mistie Thompson and daughter Ashlynne Renee Bowen; brothers: Hunter Elliswayne Armstrong and Jordan Taylor Armstrong, both of Smithville; Seth Allen Holiday and Dylan James Holiday, both of Tennessee; Sisters: Elyssa Wilson, Pennsylvania; Ashley Huff and Brookelyn Holiday both of Tennessee; Grandparents: Sandy Williams (Wilbur), Smithville; Elizabeth Jo Armstrong, Jackson, MS; Doris Keller (Carl, Sr.), Tennessee; Uncles: Troy Kelly, Kansas; Derek Kelly, Amory; Bradley Williams (Courtney), Amory; Justin Armstrong (Jennifer), Smithville; Joe Holiday and Andy Keller both of Tennessee; Carl Allen Keller, Jr., Florida; Aunts: Jolynn Earnest (Jerry), Tishomingo; Gwen Robinson (Greg), Booneville, MS; Patricia Killmon (Robbie), Florida; Tara Vaughn (Brent)Tennessee; and a host of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Ellis Kelly, Harold Armstrong, and Dale Williams.
Services for Jeffery will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 15, 2016 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Kevin Crook, officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 15 from 5:00 – 6:50 PM at the funeral home.
