Jeanette Brown Bowen

Amory - Jeanette Brown Bowen, 76, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at River Place Nursing Center, Amory. Born on February 5, 1940, in Itawamba County, she was a daughter of the late George and Annie Anderson Brown.

At an early age, Jeanette left school to provide for her family. She worked in the cotton fields and was a wonderful mother and homemaker. Jeanette attended Providence Baptist Church. She married Jimmy “Mac” Bowen and together they were blessed with many children. While rearing such a large and wonderful family, Jeanette’s main focus in life was her children and grandchildren. In her free time, she treasured moments she could spend by herself and relax and reflect on her many blessings.

Jeanette loved being outdoors, especially fishing for catfish and picking blackberries. She made the best homemade biscuits. Jeanette loved listening to Gospel music and watching wrestling on TV. Having a deep love for family, her favorite thing to do was to spend time with all of them. Jeanette cherished each and every one and was very proud of them. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
