Netteton – Janice Wright, 60, died on Friday, March 25, 2011, at North MS Medical Center. Born on January 20, 1951, in Monroe County, she was a daughter of Molene Christian Lann and the late Clyde L. Lann.
Janice attended Nettleton High School and ICC. Before becoming a homemaker, she was a teacher with Head Start. Janice was of the Full Gospel faith. She cherished spending time with her family. Living life to the fullest, Janice was an active member of the Beauty Shop Gossip Club. She enjoyed cooking, reading, talking and listening to Country music. Outspoken and talkative, Janice never met a stranger.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Elmer Earl Wright, Nettleton; daughters, Sonya Hall, Belden and Jessica Riley, Nettleton; sons, Jeff Cayson and Jason Wright, Nettleton, Michael Wright, Centreville, AL, and Justin Wright, Nettleton; mother, Molene Christian Lann, Nettleton; brother, Jackie L. Lann, Nettleton; grandchildren, Tyler, Jade, Corey, Dylan, Kesha and Brandon Cayson; Morgan Wright; Jasmine and Zack Gilmore; Hayden Hall; Janie Kay Wright; Terra and Misha Riley; and Dylan Phillips; great-grandchildren, Jess, Braxton and Jamie Cayle; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Jerry and Janna Lann; Joe Coptane; Michael and Boo Sheffield; David and Heather Wright; Daniel, Billy Jacob, Christy and Jamie Wright; and special friends, Patricia Stanford, Janice Neal and Dr. Quana Taylor. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Jamie L. Lann.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM, Sunday, March 27 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Gary Williams and Bro. Billy McBunch officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Lann, Chris and Shane Cayson, David Wright, Joe Coptane and Boo Sheffield. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Sheffield, Nicky Hall, Steve Lavender and Larry Riley.
Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM, Saturday at the funeral home and will continue until the service hour on Sunday.
Donations to help with funeral expenses may be sent to the funeral home at P. O. Box 127, Amory, MS 38821.
