Amory – Janice “Jan” Lynn Caraway, 58, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017, at her residence in Amory. Born on January 29, 1958, in Waukegan, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Douglas and Violet Suggs.
Jan graduated from Hatley High School. She married the love of her life, Dennie Caraway, on January 24, 1986. She was blessed with a loving husband, a son, daughter-in-law, and a grandson. Jan worked in the oil industry as well as a homemaker. She loved God and she was thankful for all his blessings during her life. She had no problem “telling it like it was” to anyone that asked her opinion. In her free time, she enjoyed growing flowers and working in the yard. Some of her close friends were Bee, Louise, and Sherry. She was passionate about being a loving wife and mother to her family. Jan will be missed dearly by her family and friends yet they all know that she had professed her faith in Jesus Christ and she is at rest with the Lord.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Dennie Caraway, Aberdeen; mother, Violet Suggs, Cherokee, AL; son, Daniel Caraway (Shannon), Brandon; grandson, James Allen Caraway, Brandon; brother, Allen Suggs (Mary), North Dakota.
In addition to her father, Douglas Suggs; sister, Patricia “Pat” Jernigan.
Her Graveside Funeral Service will be at 11 AM, Wednesday, January 11 at Masonic Cemetery, Amory, with Bro. Stanley Blaylock officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her family and friends.
Visitation will be at the Funeral Home from 9 AM – 10:45 AM, wednesday at the funeral home.
