James Elvie West

Nettleton--James Elvie West, 63, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. Born on October 5, 1952, he was the son of the late Elvie E. West and Betty F. Booth West. James graduated from Nettleton High School, class of 1970 and later attended IJC in Fulton, MS . James was self employed and established a sweeper service.

Many will remember James’s musical abilities. He played in various rock bands in his younger years. He was a very gifted musician.

James West is survived by his brothers: Randle West, Saltillo, Curtis West (Tamsie), New Albany, and Michael West (Beth), Cason Community; nephews, Dan west (Brittany), Baldwyn, Jason West (Zoe), Glasgow, Scotland, Gary West (Dawn), Cason Community, and Justin West (Brittany), Mantachie; great-nephews, Gaston West and Drew West; great-niece, Lily West.

Graveside services will be on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. Bro. Sammy Raper will be officiating. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery.
