Amory – James Kenneth Stafford, 87, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015, at his residence. Born on April 13, 1927, in Monroe County, he was a son of the late Greely and Arvilla Walker Stafford.
Mr. Stafford attended Pearce Chapel School. On July 28, 1946, he married Flora Masengale. Self-employed, he was a retired dozer contractor. Mr. Stafford was of the Baptist faith. His hobbies were fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his daughter, Judy Kennedy, Amory; son, James L. “Dub” Stafford, Amory; brothers, Darrell Stafford (Mary Alice), Smithville; grandchildren, Jonathan K. Miles (Stacie), Quincy, IL, Jamie S. Arendt (Robert), New Albany, Samantha S. Burt (Eric), Amory; great-grandchildren, Wesley, Gloria, and Caroline Miles; Ally and Parker Arendt; Hunter and Easton Burt; several nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Flora M. Stafford; sister, Wilma Brewer; brothers, Quinton and Wendell Stafford; son-in-law, Otis Kennedy; and daughter-in-law, Donna Tucker Stafford.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, April 6 in Lann Cemetery with Dr. Allen Simpson officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be from 9 – 10:30 AM, Monday at the funeral home.
