James "Jim" Prestridge

Madison - James "Jim" Oliver Prestridge, 78, died on Monday, June 25, 2012, at St. Dominic Hospital. Born on May 19, 1934, in Amory, he was a son of the late William Ira and Irene Sullivan Prestridge.

Jim is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sally, their 4 children, Donna Stigall, Lesia Monson (Dan), James Prestridge (Pam), and Deidra Prestridge (Jeff Milewsky); 9 grandchildren, Braydon, Arin and Payton Stigall; Malcolm and Duncan Mardling; Max Saiger; Tasha and Candice Prestridge; and Kyra Monson; and 5 great-grandchildren, Allysce Prestridge, Jaleh Stigall, Kannon Stigall, Karah & Bella Stigall.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 PM, Saturday, June 30 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Dr. Allen Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Sam Cornpropst, Harlan Prestridge, Gary Prestridge, Bobby Conn Thompson, Jerry Carter, and Kenny Hill.

Visitation will be from 2 - 3:45 PM, Saturday prior to the service hour.
