James Milton Hamilton

Athens, AL - James Milton Hamilton, 72, died on Friday, May 25, 2012, at Huntsville Hospital. Born on September 14, 1939, in Monroe County, he was a son of the late Troy M. and Erbie Mae Ausborn Hamilton.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, May 30 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Mac Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 - 7 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his daughters, Brenda H. Tillman (Larry, II), Powder Springs, GA, and Lori Ann H. Countryman (Ricky), Douglasville, GA; sons, Michael Kevin Hamilton, Laurel, and James Milton 'Jamie' Hamilton, Jr., Auburn, AL; brother, Elmer C. Hamilton (Beverly), Amory; grandchildren, Amer, Megan, Brandy, Ashley, Larry, III, Phillip, and Katrina; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Murial Weaver.
