Gattman - James Randell "Randy" Crisp, 53, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015, at Specialty Hospital of Meridian. Born on May 12, 1961, in Douglasville, GA, he was a son of the late James Wilbur “Jim” and Martha Stoddard Crisp.
Randy attended Hamilton School and honorably served in the US Army, stationed in Germany for two years. On January 22, 1981, he married Kathy Harrison. Randy was a member of Gattman Baptist Church. Enjoying being on the road, he was a long-haul truck driver, working for Sit-N-Easy, Pretty Brothers out of Tennessee, and for Bubba Andrews. One who never met a stranger and loved to talk, Randy was a one-of-a-kind person. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, doing ceramic work, and studying laws.
Survivors include his wife 34 years, Kathy Crisp, daughter, Brandy Welch and son, Eric Crisp (Kacey)of Gattman; step-sons, Chip Harmon (Melanie) and Andy Harmon (Crissy) of Amory; sister, Dianne Sutton, Loudon, TN; brother, Tommy Harmon, Amory; grandchildren, Destiny Crisp, Madison Crisp, Jessica Welch, Airial Welch, Aaron Welch, Libby Welch, Alex Crsip, Ally Crisp, Brittni Smith, Taylor, Kim, Drew, Cooper, and Trip Harmon; nieces & nephews, Ashley Berry, Hope Ford, Nathan Ford, Nicole Sutton, James Ford, and Matthew Sutton.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, March 12 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Mac Phillips and Chip Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
