James Allen Castle
Hatley – James Allen Castle, Sr., 56, with his family surrounding him, left this earth too soon and began his new life in Heaven on February 20, 2024. He was born on January 15, 1968, in Memphis, TN to Delores Campbell Castle and the late Jim Allen Castle.
James grew up in a military family and moved around to many cities while he was growing up. He was a talented man and could fix just about anything. James was an electrician and worked in controls and automation as well as a Foreman on several construction sites. Since 1994 until the present, he worked with Laney Whitaker and Dixie Electric on many jobs throughout the region. The owner of Dixie Electric, Kyle Chism, was not only his boss, he was his best friend. James enjoyed his work and got great satisfaction in a job well done. He always said “whatever you do, always take care of business first”.
God blessed him during his lifetime with four children and three grandchildren. James was a member of Emmanuel Assembly of God and he loved the Lord. During some of the hardest times of his life, he found that Christ always helped him through. During one of those difficult times, God helped him find his soul mate and love of his life, Vickie Castle. They were married on September 12, 2015 and he was her world. They completed each other and he loved being at home with her, just cherishing time together. He was proud of his son, James Jr., who being a senior, will be graduating High School this year and furthering his education in college.
In his downtime, he enjoyed the beautiful outdoors and fishing was his favorite past time. He was close to his family, and especially close to his brother John. Besides his family, he liked to hang out with other close friends, Kyle Chism and Ray Smith. He was a very proud American who loved life to the fullest and appreciated the liberties most take for granted in the USA. At times, he liked to push boundaries, to test and see how far he could get when it came to certain subjects. In his younger days, he liked playing pool and growing bountiful vegetable gardens. James liked to listen to Country and Blues music and just spoil his wife by tending to her needs and grilling masterpieces for her. The front porch was one of their favorite places to be as well as cruising down any country road. Many great memories were made then.
His presence will be missed dearly by his family and friends yet they have faith that he is completely healed. They look forward to the day when they are reunited with him and until then will smile anytime they think of him and thank God for the gift of James.
He is survived by his soul mate, Vickie Castle, Hatley; mother, Delores Campbell Castle, Amory; sons, James A. Castle, Jr., Hatley, and Brandon Neal, North Carolina; daughters, Brittany Neal, Crowder, MS and Tiffany McDonald (Jake), Mooreville, MS; grandchildren, Mason Neal, Caiden Palmer, and Piper McDonald; brother, John Castle (Emily), Amory; half-sisters, Lisa Wilson and Jima Sneed; niece and nephew, Evan Castle and Peyton Castle.
