James Knight
Amory – James Carrol Knight, 65, started his new life in Heaven and became totally healed on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. He was born on November 14, 1957, in Amory, Mississippi, to Melby Jene Hathcock Knight and the late J. C. Knight.
James grew up in both Monroe County and Wisconsin, where he attended school at Union Grove School in Union Grove, Wisconsin. He was a very talented hard working man who knew how to fix anything as he was a farmer by trade. In order to grow and farm, he needed to be able to work as a mechanic, weld, and work on electrical systems.
He believed in God and was Baptist. James was a great provider for his family and he really enjoyed being outdoors doing things such as fishing and hunting and listen to country music. James also liked to go camping and travel to flea markets in search of the next great bargain. His nephew John Spurgeon and he were close and they often did things together.
Over the years, many great memories were made with James. His family and friends will miss him dearly yet they know that he is in a better place, resting in the presence of his Savior.
He is survived by his mother, Melby Jene Hathcock Knight, Amory; daughter, Katie Knight Massart, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Mason, Anna, Levi, and Sawyer; sisters, Melba Jean Jensen, Yvonne Knight, Volinda Butler, and Margaret Knight; brother, Jerry Wayne Knight; niece and nephews, Eric Knight, Jason Knight; John Spurgeon, Jennifer Jensen, Tiffany Jensen, Patrice Jensen; Cheryl Lemke, Robert Olson, David Olson, Timothy Olson; Cory Johnson, David Snell, Carlye Butler; and Ashley Steffensen.
